System for separating sludge from waste water coming from painting processes By means of the open-impeller electric motor-driven pump located in the water-collection bath of the paint-spray booth, the water saturated with sludge and coarse particulate is aspirated and conveyed, via a pipe, to the bag-holder tanks. The dirty water starts to flow off through the two filtering bags, which enable the sludge to be withheld inside, allowing the clear water to flow off and drop into the tank underneath the separator. From here, by gravity, the water that has been cleaned of the sludge goes back into the collector baths of the paint-spray booths.
